AI in 2024
25.4% OF EMPLOYERS HAVE NO PLANS TO USE AI IN RECRUITMENT IN THE NEXT YEAR, NEW STUDY FROM HAYS FINDS

Despite a majority of 83.3% of human resources personnel polled supporting the use of AI tools to help them perform their tasks at work, just 54.8% of them believe their organisations have embraced AI sufficiently to stay relevant in the future.
Understandably, some of this hesitation stems from the top three challenges faced by employers looking to implement AI in recruitment:
-
Budget is the primary challenge, highlighted by 49% of employers in Thailand when implementing AI in recruitment.
-
33.8% mention the challenge of training HR staff to effectively use AI tools.
-
31.0% express concerns about data privacy and security with AI usage.
There is still much work to be done to bridge these gaps with 45.6% of respondents in Thailand believe AI-powered resume screening can be biased and requires addressing before being utilised. This is unlike mainland China where 55.2% of employers currently use AI in recruitment and 55.6% of believe the biases are being addressed.
