We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior CAD Engineer to join our jewelry manufacturing Hays partner in Bangkok, Thailand. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in CAD design, specifically using Matrix or MatrixGold software. This role involves creating intricate and detailed jewelry designs that meet the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Your new role
- Create detailed 3D models of jewelry using Matrix or MatrixGold software.
- Develop innovative and aesthetically pleasing designs based on client specifications and market trends.
- Ensure designs are manufacturable and meet quality standards.
- Work closely with the design and production teams to ensure seamless transition from design to manufacturing.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements and provide design solutions.
- Collaborate with other engineers and designers to improve design processes and outcomes.
- Review and refine designs to ensure accuracy and attention to detail.
- Conduct quality checks on designs before submission to production.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any design-related issues that arise during the production process.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and technologies in CAD design for jewelry.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior CAD designers.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of design tools and methods.
- Maintain accurate records of design projects and modifications.
- Prepare and present design proposals and reports to stakeholders.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Jewelry Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in CAD design, specifically in jewelry manufacturing.
- Proficiency in Matrix or MatrixGold software is required.
- Strong understanding of jewelry manufacturing processes and materials.
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot design issues.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
