Your new role
This role is a crucial strategic partner, responsible for leading and managing the human resource functions of the organisation. This role is essential in cultivating the company's culture, boosting employee engagement, and spearheading initiatives that align with the organisation's goals and objectives.
- HR Processes: Ensure efficient HR processes and service delivery across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, talent development, employee relations, and exit procedures.
- Stakeholder Influence: Persuade stakeholders by delivering impactful and confident messages.
- Employee Engagement: Implement employee engagement programs to maintain high morale and engagement scores.
- Strategic Advisory: Provide strategic advice to the management team on key business priorities, proactively identifying cross-functional misalignments and mobilising workforce resources to achieve operational goals.
- Culture Building: Collaborate with the leadership team to cultivate a high-performance work culture.
- Business Alignment: Align business priorities with broader cross-functional goals through daily Gemba walks, engaging with frontline employees to understand the organisation's pulse and proactively address gaps in people's processes.
- Organisational Change: Partner with a management team to drive organisational changes that support transformation and achieve organisational targets, utilise workforce and cost saving.
- Industrial Relations: Foster a cohesive industrial relations environment by building strong partnerships with the committee
- Change Management: Lead change management initiatives and collaborate with the leadership team to advance the organization’s digital transformation.
- Capability Development: Identify and address capability gaps within teams, creating development plans to enhance skills and performance.
- Communication: Develop strategic messages to support communication plans aligned with business and HR objectives.
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum of 10 years in a manufacturing environment, with global exposure and experience in production processes.
- Experience working in a global manufacturing environment with exposure to unions is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills combined with excellent communication abilities, capable of engaging with global and key stakeholders across operations, production, and other support functions.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively, network effectively, and manage a team and competence in building and managing interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of labour law and HR best practices. Proficient in IT, digital transformation projects, and process improvement initiatives.
- Hands-On Approach: Actively engages with other departments and takes a hands-on approach, demonstrating a willingness to interact directly with employees and various teams, rather than focusing solely on high-level management and strategic planning.
