Your new role
- Conduct detailed analysis, reporting, and commentary on the monthly financial outcomes compared to estimates, the previous year, and targets.
- Develop financial forecasts, including variance analysis, in line with organisational standards and directives.
- Implement proactive financial control measures and foster cost consciousness within Operations Bangkok to meet both immediate and strategic financial objectives.
- Launch and monitor the progress of enhancement initiatives, collaborating across functions with stakeholders involved in the manufacturing cost stream.
- Assist the business in addressing daily financial and control issues.
- Facilitate the annual process for capturing the standard cost of sales.
- Work in partnership with Accounting and Control Center (A&CC) to ensure the integrity of the financial closing process and its outcomes.
- Ensure that essential internal control procedures are executed by Operations, identifying and remedying any discrepancies.
- Provide critical financial analysis and insights to aid in decision-making.
- Encourage and support improvements in efficiency and performance, aligning with the broader strategy and goals, and continually seeking to enhance value and uplift UDT Group’s business results.
- Manage system authorisations, such as in PALM, to comply with UDT’s authorisation policies.
- Examine and sanction purchase orders and expenses in Ariba, adhering to the Authorisation in the Business manual.
- Guarantee that controlling master data within relevant systems is established following business and control requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
- Possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
- A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in business control and accounting, preferably within the automotive manufacturing sector.
- An audit background is a plus.
- Demonstrate robust knowledge of accounting principles, including the concept of internal markup elimination.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end process from order to delivery, including manufacturing operations
