General Summary
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for creating, developing, and maintaining strategic business relationships with major customers, focusing on OEM clients in China. This role involves promoting brand awareness, driving profitable business relationships, and ensuring smooth coordination across departments. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, project management experience, and the ability to build trust at all levels within customer organisations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with major customers to promote brand awareness and profitable partnerships.
- Build trust and strong connections at all levels within customer organisations.
- Prepare quotations, manage and follow up on customer orders to ensure successful deal closure.
- Prepare and analyse rolling forecasts.
- Conduct market research, analyse competitor information, and prepare benchmarking reports.
- Coordinate with internal departments to acknowledge and confirm new parts from customers.
- Resolve issues and ensure effective communication between customers and internal teams.
- Monitor and follow up on new part introductions from existing and new customers.
- Coordinate and follow up on costing with production departments.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful commercial activities and relationship development.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related fields.
- 2–5 years of experience in Sales & Marketing or Engineering within the automotive parts business.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain strong customer relationships and insights.
- Strong skills in negotiation, project management, and presentation.
- Good command of English and native-level Chinese proficiency.
