Your new role
The Employee Relations Specialist plays a critical role in enhancing and executing the company’s employee relationship management framework. This position is responsible for fostering a harmonious workplace culture, strengthening employee engagement, and promoting a strong sense of belonging among staff. By proactively managing employee relations and addressing potential issues, the role helps mitigate the risk of labour disputes and ensures compliance with labour laws and company policies.
- Address and resolve employee concerns, workplace conflicts, labour disputes, and work-related incidents.
- Lead employee engagement and satisfaction initiatives, including surveys and action plans for continuous improvement.
- Develop and promote employee care programs and establish effective communication channels between staff and management.
- Liaise with government agencies and local communities on matters such as industrial injuries and related compliance.
- Manage urgent employee relations cases and provide timely support.
- Support cultural development within the organisation by planning and executing internal events and activities.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Psychology, Law, or a related discipline.
- At least 8 years of experience in employee relations within manufacturing environments, with a strong grasp of ER processes; experience in resolving labor disputes is an advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations, and compliance procedures, including government documentation and processes.
- Strong proficiency in English reading and writing.
- Dynamic and approachable personality with excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly responsible, proactive, and committed to delivering results.
