Company Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Assistant Product Manager to support strategic initiatives across specific sub-segments and sub-regions within the Pacific market. This role focusses on driving profitability, optimising product portfolio performance, and enhancing asset utilisation for the Performance Additives business. The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with regional segment teams, technology groups, and support functions to implement business strategies effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute regional pricing strategies in collaboration with senior product leadership.
- Manage price exceptions and ensure tactical pricing aligns with profitability targets.
- Analyse and understand value chains, particularly those linked to key production facilities.
- Apply principles of service strategy and product lifecycle management to support SKU rationalisation and introduction.
- Conduct annual cost analysis and approve SKUs within the region.
- Support product allocation decisions based on strategic input.
- Optimise Make-to-Order (MTO) and Make-to-Stock (MTS) processes in alignment with service strategy.
- Contribute to inventory target achievement through proactive management of slow-moving, out-of-stock, and expiring products.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related technical field.
- Strong understanding of SAP R3, particularly in manufacturing, SIOP, and costing/pricing modules.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to analyse data and make informed business decisions.
- Experience working in cross-functional and international teams.
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (including v-lookups and pivot tables).
