With this opportunity, you will take a leading role in driving the accuracy and integrity of financial operations by securing general ledger activities, statutory reporting, and compliance with both Thai and IFRS accounting standards. You will be instrumental in shaping internal financial workflows, managing ERP systems, and enhancing reporting processes to support strategic decision-making. This role also involves close collaboration with auditors and tax authorities, ensuring robust internal controls and alignment with group policies across local entities.

Your new role

• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data shared with stakeholders.
• Deliver timely and compliant financial reports in accordance with local regulations.
• Maintain precision in statutory reporting.
• Gathering supporting documentation and performing recordkeeping.
• Maintain and update general ledger structures and standards.
• Conduct regular reviews of Thai and IFRS standards and assess their impact on financial statements.
• Oversee ERP systems, including general ledger, master files, sub-ledgers, and reporting tools.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including aging reports and reconciliations.
• Provide financial data to support cost control and decision-making.
• Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Align accounting practices with budgeting and forecasting needs.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
• Ensure accurate and timely filing of VAT, WHT, and corporate income tax.
• Respond to enquiries from Thai tax authorities.
• Prepare regular reports on foreign exchange exposure.
• Implement proper procedures for accounts payable and advances.
• Maintain SOP checklists and oversee compliance with accounting and tax standards.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership role within General Ledger accounting.
• Strong proficiency in SAP is preferred.
• Prior experience in multinational corporations, particularly in the retail / FMCG / share services, is highly desirable.
• Self-driven and performing well under pressure with the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across all organizational levels.
• Proficient in both written and spoken English.
