Your new role
As Assistant Legal Manager, you will report to the President and Head of Legal Thailand. You will provide legal support across a wide range of commercial agreements and legal matters for both domestic and international operations. You will also supervise one subordinate and handle ad-hoc assignments from senior management.
- Provide legal opinions and solutions for day-to-day and strategic legal matters.
- Draft, review, and revise various commercial agreements including MOU, NDA, Bank Guarantee, Supply, Service, Lease, Employment, and Power Purchase Agreements.
- Coordinate legal reviews and litigation reports for the company and its affiliates.
- Provide notarial services and liaise with Thai government agencies (e.g., Ministry of Commerce, BOI, IEAT).
- Support documentation and signature collection for Personal Data Protection compliance.
- Assist in negotiations with Thai and international counterparties.
- Liaise with external counsel on legal issues and future projects.
- Review and advise on work prepared by junior legal staff.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law; Barrister-at-Law is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of legal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Strong command of English and proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
- Experience with international agreements and legal research.
- Ability to coordinate with government authorities and provide notarial services.
- Knowledge of FBL/BOI processes and Power Purchase Agreements is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
