A leading international mechanical engineering company headquartered in Germany, specialising in filling systems and packaging machines for the beverage industry, is currently seeking a skilled and proactive Regional Legal Counsel. This is a strategic legal role supporting international operations and compliance across the Asia/Pacific region.
Your new role
- Draft, revise, and negotiate international master agreements and project contracts with global customers.
- Resolve legal issues related to international trade, commercial, and contract law.
- Provide legal expertise for international engineering and service projects.
- Support regional subsidiaries on corporate and contract law matters.
- Optimise risk management and contract controlling processes.
- Assist with conceptual claim management and legal strategy development.
- Advise sales and project managers on legal aspects of projects.
- Deliver legal training to employees across disciplines.
- Act as the local point of contact for Compliance, Data Protection, and Information Security.
- Collaborate with central departments to implement and enforce related policies.
- Report to the Head of Legal Affairs in Germany and work under the local company’s disciplinary authority.
What you'll need to succeed
- Graduated from a Bachelor of law or higher.
- Experience in the legal department of an industrial company, with expertise in contract review and negotiation.
- Fluent in business English.
- Proficient in MS Office and open to using digital tools.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, both domestically and internationally.
- Excellent communication, persuasion, and structured working skills.
