A leading financial services provider in Bangkok, CBD is seeking a seasoned legal and compliance professional to join its leadership team. The organisation is known for its commitment to innovation, customer-centric solutions, and regulatory excellence in the consumer finance sector.
Your new role
We are looking for a strategic and experienced Head of Legal and Compliance (VP level) to lead the legal and compliance function. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring legal and regulatory compliance across all business operations, supporting corporate governance, and advising senior management on legal risks and opportunities.
- Provides legal advice on financial services regulations, corporate law, and commercial transactions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents including loan agreements, service contracts, and MOUs.
- Oversee compliance with laws and regulations such as BOT, AMLO, PDPA, OCPB, and NCB requirements.
- Lead the development and implementation of compliance frameworks and risk mitigation strategies.
- Manage corporate documentation, licences, and statutory filings.
- Organise and support Board of Directors and Shareholders meetings, ensuring governance standards are met.
- Liaise with regulators, external counsel, and internal stakeholders on legal and compliance matters.
- Conduct internal training to promote legal and compliance awareness across the organisation.
- Support special projects such as legal due diligence, litigation, and M&A activities.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law
- 10–15 years of legal and compliance experience, preferably in financial services or banking
- At least 5 years in a managerial or senior leadership role
- Strong knowledge of Thai financial regulations and corporate governance
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Fluent in Thai and English (English proficiency test is a plus)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
