Your new role
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Logistics and Transportation to lead and optimise our end-to-end logistics operations. This role is critical in managing international and domestic transportation, import/export activities, trade compliance, and overseeing a large, diverse team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in global logistics, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence within a trading or manufacturing environment.

This role is critical in managing international and domestic transportation, import/export activities, trade compliance, and overseeing a large, diverse team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in global logistics, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence within a trading or manufacturing environment.
What you'll need to succeed
- Strategic Leadership. Develop and implement logistics and transportation strategies aligned with business goals. Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Drive continuous improvement and innovation in logistics operations
- Import/Export & Trade Compliance. Ensure full compliance with international trade regulations, customs laws, and export control requirements. Manage relationships with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and regulatory agencies. Oversee documentation and procedures for import/export activities.
- Transportation Management. Optimise domestic and international transportation networks. Negotiate contracts and manage the performance of logistics service providers. Monitor KPIs such as delivery performance, freight cost, and transit times.
- Team Leadership & Development. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing logistics and transportation team. Establish clear goals, performance metrics, and career development plans.
- Systems & Technology. Leverage ERP, TMS, and WMS systems to enhance visibility and control. Drive digital transformation initiatives in logistics operations. Ensure data accuracy and reporting for decision-making.
- Budgeting & Cost Control. Develop and manage logistics budgets. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficiency measures. Analyse the financial impact of logistics decisions.
